Tracy Morgan Returns To TV

Thanks to TBS the 30 Rock and SNL alumni will be gracing our television screens once again!

News came today that TBS has ordered the Tracy Morgan led comedy straight to series with an initial ten episode commitment. Originally ordered to pilot in January by FX, the unnamed series was then passed on and incited a multi network bidding war with TBS reportedly beating out Comedy Central to gain the rights. The single camera comedy, created by Jordan Peele (Key and Peele) and John Carcieri (Vice Principals), will have Morgan playing a character who has to come to grips with the changes in the world after being released from prison after 15 years.

While there is no air date set yet, I think we can all agree that the news of Tracy returning to television makes this Monday not so bad.
