What the F, Comedy Central UK?

Why don’t we just rename this channel to The Channel That Only Plays Friends? Because you know what, that’s practically ALL that’s on this network.

Seriously, look for yourself. Go to the guide here. Click ANY day. What’s On?….. go on, I’ll wait while you do it.

…………..

What? Friends is on? YEAH! I know, right? What th’fuck? For those that didn’t bother with my little social experiment, here’s a screen cap from today.

wtf

Exhibit A

Friends started at 8am, and was still going at 6pm! I couldn’t fit all the listings in this picture, that’s how many Friends episodes are on.

Now, don’t hate on me – I like Friends. I even wrote a post about it on Monday talking about the 20th Anniversary of Friends. I’m a fan. I’m just not a 10 hours and counting kind of fan. TEN-HOURS-AND-COUNTING. Who’s watching this much Friends?!??!? Don’t you have a job? Is your job to watch Friends? Damn.

Has someone just bought the Friends box set from HMV, on sale of course, and loaded them into some massive multi-player, multi-layer DVD player (it won’t even be Blu-ray – that’s how much they don’t care), and then someone just comes in once a day, perhaps a cleaner, and pushes play? “BAM! Scheduled.”

The best part about The Comedy Central website though, is that it lists loads of shows that could be on their network, Inside Amy Schumer, Key and Peele, Daily Show, Colbert Report – it just doesn’t tell you WHEN these shows air. You know why? CUZ THEY DON’T AIR! Why would you want to sacrifice half an hour of air time to something as awesome as Inside Amy Schumer, when someone in Stoke-On-Trent hasn’t see the Friends episode where the lose the monkey in the blackout for the eighteenth time??? UGH! The travesty!

Either way, all I’m asking for is a bit of variety CC (can I call you CC?). Just a little. How about nine hours of Friends in a row, then say, I dunno – The Daily Show? The Middle, perhaps? Does that work for you?

Ugh.. no wonder people download things.
